Like the Taycan sports saloon, the Cross Turismo benefits from an innovative electric drive with 800-volt architecture (instead of the 400-volts that is usual for electric cars). All Cross Turismo models have the largest 93.4 kWh Performance Battery Plus and all are all-wheel drive. The range starts with the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo, followed by the 4S Cross Turismo, then the top of the range Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo has 625hp (680hp in overboost), bringing the 0-62mph time down to just 3.3 seconds.
The 800-volt architecture allows the battery to charge from 5% to 80% in 22.5 minutes. Maximum range or the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo is 283 miles, while the more powerful Turbo S has a slightly lower 260 mile maximum.
The most obvious addition to the Cross Turismo is its extended roof line, offering rear passengers a total headroom of 979mm providing a more comfortable seating position and greater feeling of cabin space - making it ideal for adults and better adapted to long distance travel.
While the Cross Turismo shares its basic driving modes with the Taycan saloon, the former benefits from a new ‘Gravel’ mode which improves the suitability for driving on rough roads. The high-tech chassis with all-wheel drive and adaptive air suspension comes as standard on all four models.
Behind the second row of seats, the Taycan Cross Turismo offers a load space of 430 litres. This can be significantly expanded up to 1,196 litres by folding the rear seats. Loading luggage is easy thanks to the automatic tailgate which has been carefully designed to optimise access without detracting from the Cross Turismo’s eye-catching and sporty flyline.
Another useful addition to the Taycan Cross Turismo is the optional rear-mounted bike carrier. Faster and easier to mount than most conventional systems, and with a 40cm clearance between the rails, means two bikes can be mounted comfortably side by side. Another rail can be added to accommodate a third if required.
For those who are looking to go off the beaten track with a high-performance electric vehicle that provides more space and flexibility, the Taycan Cross Turismo presents a capable package that ensures a mix between practicality and performance.
*Test drive subject to applicant status and availability. Ts&Cs Apply.
*Data determined in accordance with the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) as required by law. You can find more information on WLTP at www.porsche.com/wltp . For Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) range and Equivalent All Electric Range (EAER) figures are determined with the battery fully charged, using a combination of both battery power and fuel.
Values are provided for comparison only. To the extent that fuel and energy consumption or CO₂ values are given as ranges, these do not relate to a single, individual car and do not constitute part of the offer. Optional features and accessories can change relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics which may result in a change in fuel or energy consumption and CO₂ values. Vehicle loading, topography, weather and traffic conditions, as well as individual driving styles, can all affect the actual fuel consumption, energy consumption, electrical range, and CO₂ emissions of a car.
